The origin of Rudraksha:

There are three prominent stories in Various Scripture of the origin of the Rudraksha:

(1) Lord Shiva was in deep and intense meditation for the wellbeing of all creatures and due to this intense meditation, the Lord generated sweat because of the immense heat generated due to the intense meditation. These drops of sweat fell on the earth and Rudraksha were born out those drops (2) The second story in the Scriptures is that the Lord Shiva was deeply sad looking at the problem and sufferings of all human due to their karmas. In this sad state he became very emotional, and tears ran down from his eyes. These drops of tears fell on the earth and these Rudraksha beads were born. (3) The third story is that the Lord Shiva fought a battle with the demons and destroyed them. This battle took a long time and during this battle a rage in his eyes generated tears in his eyes and these tears that fell on the ground and these Rudraksha beads were born.

So if you carefully understand all these stories you will see that these beads were born out of the core love of the Lord Shiva toward all the creatures and so has all the qualities of the wellbeing and protection in these Rudraksha beads. These connects the wearer to the Lords compassionate consciousness. Rudraksha can be worn by any human beings irrespective of his religion, cast or colour and place. As you can see these Rudraksha is a fruit from a tree that also has a scientific reason to wear other that the spiritual reasons.

In this world all food and fruits are consumed by all creatures irrespective of their relation, cast or colour of their skin and this does not matter from which country the fruit came from or what was the religion of the framer who cultivated these fruits. All fruits give the same nourishment to the consumer of these fruits.

It is believed that if a person dies while he is wearing these Rudraksha beads that person he/she will surely attain moksha i.e. liberation from all the sins.
